Plans change. Here is exactly what happens if you need to cancel, at every stage of a project — with no cancellation fees at any stage.

Cancelling before work starts
Within 14 days of purchase: full refund, no questions (see the Refund Policy). After 14 days but before work has genuinely started: talk to us — if writing hasn't begun, we will treat you fairly, and in most cases refund in full. The 14-day line exists to give both sides certainty, not to trap you.
Cancelling mid-project

Pausing instead of cancelling
Life happens mid-book. You can pause a project for up to 90 days at no charge, once per project, keeping your writer where schedules allow. Longer pauses are re-scheduled by agreement. Pausing is often the better option — tell us what's going on and we'll find the fair arrangement.
If we cancel
In the unlikely event we cannot complete your project (writer illness with no acceptable substitute, or other failure on our side), you receive all completed work plus a full refund of any payments covering undelivered work — and our written apology, for what that's worth.
