The refund policy — the guarantee, in full.

This is the complete, binding version of the milestone guarantee described across our site. It appears identically in your contract. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you pay — that's what the free consultation is for.

§ 1

The 14-day money-back guarantee

If you change your mind within 14 days of purchase and no work has started on your manuscript, you receive a full refund of everything you've paid. No reason needed, no cancellation fee, no administrative charge.

How to claimEmail hello@topebookghostwriters.com with the subject line "Cancellation Request — [Your Name]".
What counts as work startedAny of: your outline delivered, interviews conducted, or writing begun. We notify you explicitly before work starts — you will never discover it after the fact.
Refund method & timingOriginal payment method, processed within 14 days of your request.
§ 2

Refunds after work has started

Once writing begins, milestone protections replace the blanket refund:

Voice sample stageIf the first chapter doesn't sound like you, it is rewritten at no cost until it does. We do not proceed past chapter one without your approval.
Chapter stagesTwo full revision rounds are included. If, after both rounds, we cannot reach agreement, we will discuss a partial refund based on work completed and costs incurred — the calculation basis is stated in your contract.
Non-deliveryIf we fail to deliver your manuscript entirely (other than due to your prolonged unavailability), you are entitled to a full refund of all payments.
§ 3

The late-delivery discount

Your delivery timeline is agreed before work begins and written into your contract. If we miss it through our own fault, your final invoice is automatically discounted: 10% for one week late, 20% for two weeks, 30% (maximum) for three weeks or more. Delays caused by late feedback, extended unavailability, or mid-project scope changes on your side pause the clock — as defined in the contract.

§ 4

Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights. UK and EU consumers have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013; US consumers retain all rights under applicable state and federal law. Where statutory rights exceed this policy, the statutory rights apply.
