Money

Pricing & payment

How much does eBook ghostwriting cost?

Basic from $2,850, Professional from $3,950, Premium (fully published) from $5,500 — all fixed, all on the rate card. Independent benchmarks put a professional 30,000-word book at $7,500–$15,000 (sourced cost guide).

Do I have to pay everything upfront?

No — 50% deposit to secure your writer, 50% on final delivery. Payment plans (three monthly instalments, no interest) for projects over $3,500.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Two revision rounds, communication, file delivery and support are included. Extra fees can only arise from scope changes you request, agreed in writing first.

Ownership

Rights & confidentiality

Do I keep the rights and royalties to my book?

100% of the copyright, royalties and credit, via work-for-hire agreement signed before work begins. Full explanation: Rights & Copyright.

Will anyone know I used a ghostwriter?

Only if you tell them. Confidentiality is contractual by default, NDAs are free on request, and our writers are bound by the same terms.

What is a work-for-hire agreement?

The contract mechanism under which everything the writer creates for you is owned by you, as if you'd written it yourself. Ours is plain English, signed before payment — the full rights guide.

Quality

Process & protections

Do you use AI to write books?

No. Every manuscript is human-written by a genre-matched specialist — and you approve a first-chapter voice sample before the full book is written, which makes the claim verifiable on your own project.

How long does it take to write my book?

Most projects: 6–8 weeks; with editing, formatting and publishing, 8–12 weeks by package. Your timeline goes in the contract, with automatic discounts if we miss it through our own fault (the guarantee).

How involved do I need to be?

A consultation up front, interviews if your book draws on your life or expertise, and chapter approvals as we go — typically an hour or two per week. You always see everything before it's final.

What if I'm not happy with the writing?

The voice sample is rewritten free until it sounds like you; two revision rounds follow; and contract-defined partial-refund terms cover the rare case beyond that. The milestone guarantee.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

14-day full refund before writing starts, then milestone protections after — all in the contract. The full refund policy.

Can I see samples before I commit?

Yes — anonymised, genre-matched samples at your free consultation. And before the full fee is at risk, you approve chapter one of your own book.

After

Publishing & beyond

Can you publish my book to Amazon, Apple, Google and Kobo?

Yes — the Premium package covers all four stores, always through your author accounts so royalties flow directly to you. Publishing services.

Do I need an ISBN?

Not for eBooks on the major stores — each assigns its own identifier. For print editions it's worth having; we advise and assist.

Do you help with marketing?

Premium includes launch metadata and store optimisation — the highest-leverage marketing there is. Beyond that, the marketing guide is free.
